The Franklin Wildcats basketball squad (Elk Grove, CA), was nudged 37-35 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA)

The Bruins (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Vista del Lago (Folsom, CA). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Vista del Lago edged Franklin (Elk Grove, CA), 37-23, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Lodi Flames (Lodi, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 13. Franklin will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Flames come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 35-22 non-league win over Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA).
