In Friday's league test, the North Fork Miners (Hotchkiss, CO) basketball squad trounced the host Gunnison Cowboys (Gunnison, CO), by a score of 56-31.

Coming up next, the Miners play the Rifle Bears (Rifle, CO) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 13. North Fork will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 60-19 non-league win over Lake County (Leadville, CO).

With the loss, Gunnison falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Cowboys travel to Grand Valley (Parachute, CO) to play the Cardinals in a 3A Western Slope bout on Saturday, December 13.
