In Friday's league contest, the host Portal Panthers basketball team scored a good 42-31 victory over the Jenkins County War Eagles.

With the victory, Portal advances its record to 3-3 on the year. The Panthers travel to Claxton (Claxton, GA) to face the Tigers in a A D2 Region 3 match on Tuesday, December 16. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 2-3. Claxton lost 67-23 in their recent non-league match against Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA)

The War Eagles now own a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Metter for a A D2 Region 3 match on Tuesday, December 16. Jenkins County will face a Tigers squad coming off a 49-20 league win over Savannah (Savannah, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-1.
