The Lakeland Cavaliers were victorious over the visiting Nansemond River Warriors basketball squad by a final score of 72-62 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Cavaliers clash with the Churchland Truckers (Portsmouth, VA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, December 20. Lakeland will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record.

With the defeat, Nansemond River moves to 2-1 on the season. The Warriors travel to Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA) to clash with the Hornets in a Southeastern test on Wednesday, December 17. The Hornets come into the test with a record of 2-1. Deep Creek lost 47-45 in their recent non-league test against Kellam (Virginia Beach, VA)
