The Ashe County Huskies nipped the visiting Alleghany Trojans basketball squad by a final score of 38-35 in Friday's non-league outing.

Next, the Huskies face the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, December 13. Ashe County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Pioneers enter the outing with a 1-0 record after their 57-26 non-league win over Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC).

With the loss, Alleghany falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Trojans host East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC) to confront the Cardinals in a non-league game on Thursday, December 18. The Cardinals go into the game with a record of 6-0. East Surry won 61-41 in their recent non-league game against Starmount (Boonville, NC)
