Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Monessen holds off Carmichaels
December 13, 2022: Monessen, PA 15062 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Monessen Greyhounds (Monessen, PA) and the visiting Carmichaels Mighty Mikes (Carmichaels, PA), saw Monessen's basketball squad hold off Carmichaels by a tally of 61-60.
With the victory, Monessen improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Yough (Herminie, PA) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 19. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Yough lost 46-36 in their recent league challenge against Brownsville (Brownsville, PA)
Next up, the Mighty Mikes confront the Geibel Catholic Gators (Connellsville, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 16. Carmichaels will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Gators come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 61-60 non-league loss to Kiski Area (Vandergrift, PA).
