Central City Bison (Central City, NE) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Minden Whippets (Minden, NE), 54-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Central City upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Bison travel to Doniphan-Trumbull (Doniphan, NE) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 5-0. Doniphan-Trumbull won 51-29 in their recent non-league bout against Deshler (Deshler, NE)

Next up, the Whippets play the Doniphan-Trumbull Cardinals (Doniphan, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 17. Minden will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record.
