Illinois High School Basketball - Lincolnwood holds off Gillespie
December 13, 2022: Gillespie, IL 62033 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Lincolnwood Lancers (Raymond, IL) and the host Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL), saw Lincolnwood's basketball squad hold off Gillespie by a tally of 50-48.
With the victory, Lincolnwood improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to South County (Franklin, IL) to confront the Vipers in a MSM challenge on Friday, December 16. The Vipers come into the challenge with a record of 4-5. South County lost 44-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Greenfield/Northwestern (Greenfield, IL)
Next up, the Miners confront the Carlinville Cavaliers (Carlinville, IL) in a South Central challenge, on Friday, December 16. Gillespie will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 48-45 non-league win over Carrollton (Carrollton, IL).
