Delaware High School Basketball - Sanford tops Newark
December 13, 2022: Newark, DE 19711 Sanford Warriors (Hockessin, DE) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Newark Yellowjackets (Newark, DE), 45-36 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Sanford upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Caravel (Bear, DE) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Buccaneers come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Caravel lost 77-61 in their recent non-league bout against Archbishop Carroll (Radnor, PA)
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Chester Clippers (Chester, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 15. Newark will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Clippers come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 67-61 non-league loss to Downingtown West (Downingtown, PA).
