The Gull Lake Blue Devils basketball team (Richland, MI), was nudged 31-24 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Portage Central Mustangs (Portage, MI)

The Mustangs now possess a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mattawan for a Southwestern Michigan - West battle on Friday, December 16. Portage Central will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 47-34 non-league win over Norrix (Kalamazoo, MI). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-0.

The Blue Devils (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Kalamazoo Central (Kalamazoo, MI). The Maroon Giants come into the Southwestern Michigan - East battle with a 2-1 record.
