The Torres Toros basketball team scored 36 points and restricted the visiting Independence Falcons to 31 in the Toros non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Toros now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Taft for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 14. Torres will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 52-51 non-league win over Roosevelt (Fresno, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-3.

The Falcons (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hoover (Fresno, CA). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Hoover edged Garces Memorial (Bakersfield, CA), 67-46, in a non-league contest.
