Sanger Apaches (Sanger, CA) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host McLane Highlanders (Fresno, CA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Apaches confront the Central Valley Hawks (Ceres, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 15. Sanger will attempt to better on its 8-4 season record. The Hawks enter the challenge with a 13-0 record after their 2-0 league win over Golden Valley (Merced, CA).

The Highlanders now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Golden Valley for a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 4.
