In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Braswell Bengals basketball team scored a close 58-56 win over the Memorial Warriors.

The Bengals (14-7) will now prepare for their contest against Marcus (Flower Mound, TX). The Marauders come into the 6A Region I District 5 contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Marcus edged Argyle (Argyle, TX), 57-50, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Warriors battle the Heritage Coyotes (Frisco, TX) in a 5A Region II District 11 contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Memorial will attempt to better on its 10-4 season record.
