In Friday's non-league contest, the host Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights basketball team scored a good 58-50 triumph over the Chariho Chargers.

The Scarlet Knights (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Times Squared Academy (Providence, RI). The Eagles go into the Division 3 contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Times Squared Academy was topped by West Warwick (West Warwick, RI), 79-65, in a non-league contest.
