December 13, 2024: Damascus, MD 20872 Damascus Hornets (Damascus, MD) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Walter Johnson Wildcats (Bethesda, MD), 68-50 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Damascus upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Hornets travel to Sherwood (Sandy Spring, MD) to face the Warriors in a non-league match on Monday, December 16. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 3-0. Sherwood won 76-59 in their recent non-league match against Churchill (Potomac, MD)
The Wildcats now sport a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gaithersburg for a non-league match on Monday, December 16. Walter Johnson will face a Trojans squad coming off a 76-65 non-league loss to Richard Montgomery (Rockville, MD). The Trojans record now stands at 0-3.
