Texas High School Basketball - New Boston knocks off Maud
December 13, 2024: Maud, TX 75567 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the New Boston Lions (New Boston, TX) and the host Maud Cardinals (Maud, TX), observed New Boston's basketball team overcome Maud by a margin of 57-40.
The Lions (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against De Kalb (De Kalb, TX). The Bears come into the 3A Region II District 14 challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, De Kalb defeated Saltillo (Saltillo, TX), 46-44, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Pewitt Brahmas (Omaha, TX) in a 2A Region II District 16 challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Maud will attempt to better on its 11-3 season record. The Brahmas come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 49-41 non-league loss to King's Academy (Tyler, TX).
