The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) and the host Rochester Rockets (Rochester, IL), observed Normal University's basketball team edge Rochester by a score of 60-58.

The Pioneers (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Metamora (Metamora, IL). The Redbirds come into the non-league challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Metamora edged Washington (Washington, IL), 66-47, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Rockets encounter the Staunton Bulldogs (Staunton, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 14. Rochester will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 78-33 non-league win over East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL).
