December 13, 2024: Mount Ida, AR 71957 Mount Ida Lions (Mount Ida, AR) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Blevins Hornets (Blevins, AR), 47-45 in a league match.
With the victory, Mount Ida advances its record to 5-2 on the year. The Lions host Kirby (Kirby, AR) to face the Trojans in a 1A Region 7 match on Monday, December 16. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 6-7. Kirby lost 50-20 in their recent non-league match against Bismarck (Bismarck, AR)
The Hornets now own a 3-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oden for a 1A Region 7 match on Friday, December 20.
