Salado Eagles (Salado, TX) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting University Trojans (Waco, TX), 58-43 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Salado advances its record to 9-7 on the year. The Eagles travel to China Spring (China Spring, TX) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 8-8. China Spring lost 40-35 in their recent non-league match against Teague (Teague, TX)

The Trojans now own a 4-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chaparral for a 5A Region II District 16 match on Friday, January 3.
