The Elizabeth Cardinals defeated the host Manitou Springs Mustangs basketball squad by a final score of 71-61 in Saturday's non-league outing.

Next, the Cardinals clash with the Woodland Park Panthers (Woodland Park, CO) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, December 16. Elizabeth will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 0-3 record after their 77-55 non-league loss to Pueblo Centennial (Pueblo, CO).

The Mustangs (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Rocky Ford (Rocky Ford, CO). The Meloneers come into the non-league test with a 0-5 record. In their last test, Rocky Ford went down by Fort Morgan (Fort Morgan, CO), 80-30, in a non-league test.
