In Saturday's non-league test, the SA Roosevelt Rough Riders (San Antonio, TX) basketball squad trounced the host Sam Houston Hurricanes (San Antonio, TX), by a score of 83-52.

Next, the Rough Riders clash with the Judson Rockets (Converse, TX) in a non-league test, on Monday, December 15. SA Roosevelt will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Rockets come into the test with a 12-3 record after their 54-40 non-league win over Wagner (San Antonio, TX).

With the loss, Sam Houston falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Seguin (Seguin, TX) to play the Matadors in a 5A Region IV District 27 bout on Tuesday, December 16. The Matadors go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Seguin lost 60-43 in their recent non-league bout against Harker Heights (Harker Heights, TX)
