In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Bosqueville Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 44-41 win over the Clifton Cubs.

The Bulldogs (7-4) will now prepare for their match against Rio Vista (Rio Vista, TX). The Eagles enter the 2A Region II District 12 match with a 9-4 record. In their last match, Rio Vista got by Hubbard (Hubbard, TX), 52-17, in a non-league match.

The Cubs now own a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dawson for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 16. Clifton will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 46-27 non-league loss to Itasca (Itasca, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-3.
