The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Grafton Clippers (Yorktown, VA) and the visiting Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA), observed Grafton's basketball team smash Poquoson by a margin of 78-40.

The Clippers (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA). The Rams come into the Bay Rivers contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Lafayette was trounced by Surry County (Dendron, VA), 42-38, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Islanders battle the Jamestown Eagles (Williamsburg, VA) in a Bay Rivers contest, on Monday, December 15. Poquoson will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 53-49 league loss to Bruton (Williamsburg, VA).
