The Sanford Spartans basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Gorham Rams to 35 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Portland for a AA South contest on Friday, December 17. Sanford will battle a Red Riots team coming off a 62-39 non-league win over Windham (Windham, ME). The Red Riots record now stands at 2-1.

The Rams (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Massabesic (Waterboro, ME). The Mustangs enter the AA South contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Massabesic triumphed over Noble (Berwick, ME), 66-45, in a league contest.
