Kansas High School Basketball - Wichita County can't hold off Stanton County
December 14, 2021: Johnson, KS 67855 The Stanton County Trojans basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Wichita County Indians to 60 in the Trojans league triumph on Tuesday.
The Trojans now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lakin for a Hi-Plains contest on Friday, December 17. Stanton County will battle a Broncs team coming off a 84-61 non-league win over Sublette (Sublette, KS). The Broncs record now stands at 4-1.
The Indians (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against St. Francis (St. Francis, KS). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, St. Francis was nudged by Wheatland-Grinnell (Grainfield, KS), 53-50, in a non-league contest.
