Virginia High School Basketball - Lafayette nudges New Kent

December 14, 2022: New Kent, VA 23124

Lafayette Rams (Williamsburg, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA), 58-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Lafayette upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Rams host Smithfield (Smithfield, VA) to clash with the Packers in a Bay Rivers bout on Friday, December 16. The Packers go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Smithfield won 57-55 in their recent league bout against York (Yorktown, VA)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Grafton Clippers (Yorktown, VA) in a Bay Rivers bout, on Friday, December 16. New Kent will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Clippers go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 53-43 league win over Tabb (Yorktown, VA).
