Middle Creek Mustangs (Apex, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC), 53-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Middle Creek upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Mustangs host Green Hope (Cary, NC) to confront the Falcons in a 4A Conference 29 challenge on Friday, December 16. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 2-6. Green Hope lost 73-52 in their recent league challenge against Panther Creek (Cary, NC)

Next up, the Storm confront the South Garner Titans (Garner, NC) in a 4A Conference 26 challenge, on Friday, December 16. Willow Spring will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 82-73 league loss to Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC).
