The Apex Cougars basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Willow Spring Storm to 47 in the Cougars non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Panther Creek for a 4A Conference 29 contest on Friday, December 9. Apex will battle a Catamounts team coming off a 76-47 non-league win over Heritage (Wake Forest, NC). The Catamounts record now stands at 3-0.

The Storm (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Garner (Garner, NC). The Trojans come into the 4A Conference 26 contest with a 3-0 record.
