North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashe County tops Millers Creek Christian

December 14, 2023: West Jefferson, NC 28694

Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Millers Creek Christian Lions (Millers Creek, NC), 53-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Ashe County upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Newton-Conover (Newton, NC) to play the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 3-4. Newton-Conover lost 67-53 in their recent league bout against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC)

Next up, the Lions play the Gospel Light Christian (Walkertown, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Millers Creek Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
