December 14, 2023: Centerville, SD 57014 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Centerville Tornadoes (Centerville, SD) and the visiting Avon Pirates (Avon, SD), saw Centerville's basketball squad overcome Avon by a tally of 59-49.
With the victory, Centerville improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Tornadoes host Gayville-Volin (Gayville, SD) to confront the Raiders in a B Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Gayville-Volin lost 63-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Andes Central/Dakota Christian (Lake Andes, SD)
Next up, the Pirates confront the Colome Cowboys (Colome, SD) in a B Region 5 challenge, on Thursday, December 21. Avon will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
