December 14, 2023: Grants Pass, OR 97526 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Illinois Valley Cougars (Cave Junction, OR) and the host North Valley Knights (Grants Pass, OR), saw Illinois Valley's basketball squad overcome North Valley by a tally of 68-60.
With the victory, Illinois Valley improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Monroe (Monroe, OR) to confront the Dragons in a 2A Valley Coast challenge on Saturday, December 16. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Monroe won 60-17 in their recent non-league challenge against Yoncalla (Yoncalla, OR)
Next up, the Knights confront the Bandon Tigers (Bandon, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 15. North Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 57-42 non-league win over Elkton (Elkton, OR).
