Illinois High School Basketball - Cahokia ripped by Mt. Vernon

December 14, 2023: Cahokia, IL 62206

The Mt. Vernon Rams basketball team scored 98 points and held the host Cahokia Comanches to 35 in the Rams league win on Thursday.

With the win, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Rams travel to Harrisburg (Harrisburg, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 11-1. Harrisburg won 75-26 in their recent league bout against Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL)

Next up, the Comanches play the Carbondale Terriers (Carbondale, IL) in a South Seven bout, on Saturday, December 16. Cahokia will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Terriers go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 58-50 non-league win over Hamilton County (McLeansboro, IL).
