Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE) and the visiting Polytech Panthers (Woodside, DE), saw Smyrna's basketball squad wallop Polytech by a tally of 78-38.

With the victory, Smyrna improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Sussex Central (Georgetown, DE) to play the Golden Knights in a Henlopen - Northern challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Golden Knights come into the challenge with a record of 0-3. Sussex Central lost 57-14 in their recent non-league challenge against Delmarva Christian (Georgetown, DE)

Next up, the Panthers play the Sussex Tech Ravens (Georgetown, DE) in a Henlopen - Northern challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Polytech will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Ravens come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 52-36 league win over Milford (Milford, DE).
