Oklahoma High School Basketball - Alva holds off Clinton
December 14, 2024: Alva, OK 73717 In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Alva Goldbugs basketball team scored a close 45-42 triumph over the Clinton Red Tornadoes.
The Goldbugs (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Newkirk (Newkirk, OK). The Tigers enter the 89er - West battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, Newkirk was nudged by Perry (Perry, OK), 39-33, in a non-league battle.
The Red Tornadoes now own a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Anadarko for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 17. Clinton will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 66-36 non-league loss to Weatherford (Weatherford, OK). The Warriors record now stands at 5-1.
