Georgia High School Basketball - Hiram can't hold off Darlington
December 14, 2024: Hiram, GA 30141 Darlington Tigers (Rome, GA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Hiram Hornets (Hiram, GA), 14-12 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Darlington advances its record to 7-1 on the year. The Tigers travel to Pepperell (Lindale, GA) to face the Dragons in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. The Dragons enter the match with a record of 1-8. Pepperell lost 78-57 in their recent non-league match against Gordon Central (Calhoun, GA)
The Hornets now own a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Allatoona for a AAAA Region 7 match on Tuesday, December 17. Hiram will face a Buccaneers squad coming off a 97-26 league win over Southeast Whitfield County (Dalton, GA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 6-4.
