Discovery Canyon Thunder (Colorado Springs, CO) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Standley Lake Gators (Westminster, CO), 47-40 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Discovery Canyon advances its record to 5-1 on the year. The Thunder host Falcon (Falcon, CO) to face the Falcons in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 3-2. Falcon won 67-62 in their recent non-league match against Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs, CO)

The Gators now own a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Frederick for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. Standley Lake will face a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 69-30 non-league loss to Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 5-2.
