Colorado High School Basketball - Mesa Ridge nips Discovery Canyon

February 8, 2025: Colorado Springs, CO 80911

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Mesa Ridge Grizzlies basketball team scored a close 54-51 win over the Discovery Canyon Thunder.

The Grizzlies (17-1) will now prepare for their contest against Coronado (Colorado Springs, CO). The Cougars come into the 6A/5A/4A Colorado Springs Metro - South contest with a 2-19 record. In their last contest, Coronado was tipped by Falcon (Falcon, CO), 61-37, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Thunder battle the Lutheran Lions (Parker, CO) in a 5A/4A Pikes Peak contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Discovery Canyon will attempt to better on its 15-5 season record. The Lions come into the contest with a 17-3 record after their 60-44 league win over Palmer Ridge (Monument, CO).
