Texas High School Basketball - West Rusk bests Martinsville
December 14, 2024: New London, TX 75682 The West Rusk Raiders basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Martinsville Pirates to 61 in the Raiders non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Raiders now possess a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Gladewater for a 3A Region II District 16 game on Tuesday, December 17. West Rusk will confront a Bears team coming off a 51-47 non-league loss to Daingerfield (Daingerfield, TX). The Bears record now stands at 0-9.
With the loss, Martinsville falls to 9-9 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Apple Springs (Apple Springs, TX) to battle the Eagles in a 1A Region IV District 27 contest on Tuesday, December 17. The Eagles go into the contest with a record of 4-4. Apple Springs lost 43-33 in their recent non-league contest against Spurger (Spurger, TX)
