Mississippi High School Basketball - Pontotoc holds off West Union
December 14, 2024: Pontotoc, MS 38863 In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Pontotoc Warriors basketball team scored a close 60-57 triumph over the West Union Eagles.
The Warriors (8-5) will now prepare for their contest against New Albany (New Albany, MS). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, New Albany nipped Senatobia (Senatobia, MS), 66-64, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles confront the Okolona Chieftains (Okolona, MS) in a 1A Region 4 contest, on Tuesday, December 17. West Union will attempt to better on its 11-3 season record. The Chieftains go into the contest with a 4-7 record after their 69-59 non-league win over Amory (Amory, MS).
