December 14, 2024: George, IA 51237 The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the West Lyon Wildcats (Inwood, IA) and the host George-Little Rock Mustangs (George, IA), observed West Lyon's basketball team knock off George-Little Rock by a score of 50-42.
The Wildcats (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Sioux Center (Sioux Center, IA). The Warriors come into the Siouxland challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Sioux Center dropped by Central Lyon (Rock Rapids, IA), 59-54, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Mustangs encounter the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals (Marcus, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. George-Little Rock will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Royals come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 68-13 non-league loss to Hinton (Hinton, IA).
