December 15, 2022: Centereach, NY 11720

Centereach Cougars (Centereach, NY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Ward Melville Patriots (East Setauket, NY), 58-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Centereach upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Cougars host Newfield (Selden, NY) to play the Wolverines in a Section 11 AA-2 bout on Saturday, December 17. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Patriots play the Riverhead Blue Waves (Riverhead, NY) in a Section 11 AA-2 bout, on Thursday, January 12. Ward Melville will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
