Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Unionville nips Downingtown East
December 15, 2022: Exton, PA 19341 Unionville Longhorns (Kennett Square, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Downingtown East Cougars (Exton, PA), 69-67 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Unionville upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Bayard Rustin (West Chester, PA) to play the Golden Knights in a Ches-Mont - American bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Golden Knights come into the bout with a record of 2-4. Bayard Rustin lost 54-50 in their recent non-league bout against Upper Merion Area (King of Prussia, PA)
Next up, the Cougars play the Henderson Warriors (West Chester, PA) in a Ches-Mont - National bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Downingtown East will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 74-37 non-league win over Great Valley (Malvern, PA).
