New Mexico High School Basketball - Navajo Pine knocked off by Wingate
December 15, 2022: Fort Wingate, NM 87316 The Wingate Bears basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Navajo Pine Warriors to 38 in the Bears non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Bears now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crownpoint for a non-league contest on Friday, December 16. Wingate will battle a Eagles team coming off a 57-55 non-league win over Non Varsity Tournament Opponent (, ). The Eagles record now stands at 5-1.
The Warriors (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Whitehorse (Montezuma Creek, UT). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Whitehorse was defeated by Zuni (Zuni, NM), 66-35, in a non-league contest.
