Illinois High School Basketball - Lexington holds off El Paso-Gridley
December 15, 2022: El Paso, IL 61738 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) and the host El Paso-Gridley Titans (El Paso, IL), saw Lexington's basketball squad hold off El Paso-Gridley by a tally of 42-38.
With the victory, Lexington improves its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Minutemen travel to Oakwood (Fithian, IL) to confront the Comets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 27. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 6-5.
Next up, the Titans confront the Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 19. El Paso-Gridley will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Maroons come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 62-15 non-league win over Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL).
