The Porter Ridge Pirates basketball team scored 89 points and held the visiting Forest Hills Yellow Jackets to 46 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Pirates now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marvin Ridge for a 4A Conference 58 contest on Tuesday, January 3.

The Yellow Jackets (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against Central Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cougars enter the 2A/3A Conference 44 contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Central Academy was routed by North Davidson (Lexington, NC), 46-28, in a non-league contest.
