In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Polytechnic Parrots basketball team scored a decisive 55-27 triumph over the Carter-Riverside Eagles.

In their next game, the Parrots meet the Everman Bulldogs (Everman, TX) in a 5A Region I District 6 match, on Tuesday, December 19. Polytechnic will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 6-5 record after their 58-56 non-league win over Life Waxahachie (Waxahachie, TX).

With the defeat, Carter-Riverside moves to 2-15 on the year. The Eagles travel to Western Hills (Fort Worth, TX) to meet the Cougars in a 4A Region II District 9 match on Tuesday, December 19.
