Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes (Missouri City, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Fort Bend Elkins Knights (Missouri City, TX), 59-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Fort Bend Hightower upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Hurricanes travel to Manvel (Manvel, TX) to play the Mavericks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Mavericks go into the bout with a record of 7-11. Manvel won 51-46 in their recent league bout against Texas City (Texas City, TX)

Next up, the Knights play the Washington Eagles (Houston, TX) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Fort Bend Elkins will attempt to upgrade on its 12-7 season record.
