The Poetry Community Christian Pioneer basketball team (Poetry, TX), was overwhelmed 62-22 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Garland Christian Academy Swordsmen (Garland, TX)

The Swordsmen now possess a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highlands for a TAPPS 2A District 3 battle on Tuesday, January 9.
