Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX) and the visiting North Mesquite Stallions (Mesquite, TX), saw Sherman's basketball team notch a victory over North Mesquite by a final score of 73-59.

In their next game, the Bearcats face the Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX) in a 5A Region II District 13 bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Sherman will attempt to move on its 15-1 season record. The Leopards enter the match with a 5-8 record after their 75-47 non-league loss to Allen (Allen, TX).

With the defeat, North Mesquite moves to 7-9 on the year. The Stallions travel to Samuell (Dallas, TX) to meet the Spartans in a 5A Region II District 12 match on Thursday, December 21.
