Maine High School Basketball - Cheverus overwhelms Oxford Hills
December 15, 2023: South Paris, ME 04281 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Cheverus Stags (Portland, ME) and the host Oxford Hills Vikings (South Paris, ME), saw Cheverus's basketball squad wallop Oxford Hills by a tally of 76-48.
With the victory, Cheverus improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Stags travel to Portland (Portland, ME) to confront the Bulldogs in a AA North challenge on Thursday, December 21. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Portland lost 45-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Deering (Portland, ME)
Next up, the Vikings confront the Brunswick Dragons (Brunswick, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 23. Oxford Hills will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 47-38 non-league win over Edward Little (Auburn, ME).
